Airdrop FAQ

The purpose of this page is to answer the most common questions we are receiving about the $MEME airdrop.

** When will the MEME main chain launch? **

The MEME chain will launch on April 30, 2022.

** Who will be eligible to receive the airdrops? **

MEME airdrop is only available for the community who has contributed to the Cosmos network by staking to the validators or providing liquidity in the Osmosis. If you are staking with a centralized exchanges validator such as Binance, Coinbase, etc, you will not be eligible.

** How many airdrops will there be? **

There will be three airdrops.
  • 1 Airdrop to $JUNO stakers/delegators
  • 1 Airdrop to $ATOM stakers/delegators
  • 1 Airdrop to $OSMO stakers/delegators

** What is the total that will be given in each airdrop? **

  • $JUNO airdrop 27 billion $MEME
  • $ATOM airdrop 20 billion $MEME
  • $OSMO airdrop 20 billion $MEME

** Is there a minimum $HUAHUA, $ATOM, $OSMO that I need staked? **

No, there is no minimum you need staked of $JUNO, $ATOM, $OSMO

** Is there a particular set of validators that are eligible? **

At this time, we don't have a specific set of validators that we are targeting for the airdrops. Our goal is to include as many people as possible in the airdrops. If we target a specific set of validators, we will let everyone know with plenty of time to validate to those validators if they choose to do so.

** How do I stake $MEME? **

Instruction will be available in our social media soon.

** How do I know how much $MEME will be received? **

Once we do the snapshots, we will know what ratio each person will receive in each airdrop.

* *When will the snapshots happen? **

  • $JUNO snapshot -> To be announced
  • $ATOM snapshot -> To be announced
  • $OSMO snapshot -> To be announced

** When will the airdrops/coin distribution happen? **

The airdrop dates have not been set yet.
  • Airdrop for $JUNO will be announced soon
  • Airdrop for $OSMO will be announced soon
  • Airdrop for $ATOM will be announced soon

** What do you mean by the ratio that I will receive? **

This airdrop will not be based on set minimum amount of $JUNO, $ATOM, or $OSMO that you hold.

Here are several simple examples of how the airdrop allocation ratio would work.

These ratios are strictly for EXAMPLE ONLY!

  • If the ratio were 1:1 and you held 1,000 $OSMO you would receive 1,000 $MEME.
  • If the ratio were 1:0.5 and you held 1,000 $OSMO you would receive 500 $MEME.
  • If the ratio were 1:0.25 and you held 1,000 $OSMO you would receive 250 $MEME.

These ratios are strictly for EXAMPLE ONLY! Exact ratios to come at a later date.

** How is the ratio calculated? **

Quick answer

Once we have snapshots from the validators, we will see how many wallets exist, and the total amount of assets ($JUNO, $ATOM, and $OSMO) held and then run a formula based on that to give us the ratio.

There will be separate snapshots for $JUNO, $ATOM, and $OSMO.

** If I am staking/delegating $JUNO, $ATOM, and $OSMO will I receive all three airdrops. **

** Why not give everyone the same amount no matter how much they are staking? **

There are multiple reasons behind our reason for doing the airdrop this way.

  • Those who are early supporters of other networks such as $JUNO, $ATOM, or $OSMO and invested in securing those chains by staking should be rewarded based on the merit of their efforts. We don't believe in getting "something for nothing."
  • Avoids individuals trying to game the system by creating multiple wallet addresses and staking the minimum to claim an airdrop numerous times in different wallets.
